The Summer Rising Stars Program, under the direction of Gordon Darr, will be performing from 4:00 - 5:00 on Saturday afternoon, June 11th, for Gordon Hall Days. These amazing and talented Dexter musicians range in age from fifth graders to adults. The program will feature a blend of fifth graders performing their first public solo and ensemble pieces, all the way up to college students and grads sharing their gift of music. The music will come from the Great American Songbook, as well as some classical and pop tunes. Using their voices, as well as wind and string instruments, they will present something that evokes the sound of local musicians greeting travelers as they arrive at the train station.
This program is produced by the Hudson Education Center, a Dexter-based 501(c)3 non profit.
