Preserve our history and inspire our community to connect the past with the future

Dexter Area Historical Society and the Dexter Schools

2nd Grade Tours

Each year DAHS members provide tours of Gordon Hall to the Dexter 2nd grade classes.

3rd Grade Posters

These signs are part of a cooperative project between the Dexter 3rd grade classes and the Dexter Area Historical Society.    The signs were created as a History Walk that was displayed at Gordon Hall during Gordon Hall Days in June.  The students worked on the posters throughout the school year and created a total of 41 posters.   Ten were displayed on the lawn around Gordon Hall on signposts designed and built by Ryan Filipiak for his Eagle Scout certification. The remaining posters were hung inside Gordon Hall.    Throughout the year DAHS and community members talked with the students on various Dexter history topics.   The students and teachers worked very hard and created some very interesting and informative posters.
