Trees, Trimmings and Toys - a holiday evening at Gordon Hall
The opening event for Christmas at the Mansion on November 30. Spirits, hearty hors d’oeuvres and desserts will be served at Gordon Hall, beautifully decorated for the holidays by area businesses and Historical Society supporters. Milt Campbell’s extensive and magical Christmas Village collection will once more be displayed throughout the mansion. Tickets for the event are $65 per person and there is a limit of 100 tickets. You can purchase tickets here through PayPal or by contacting Ina Germain at 734-395-4106.
Tickets will not be mailed. You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase from PayPal.
A guest list will be maintained at the door.

Christmas at the Mansion Saturday December 1 9am - 5pm:
A Family Tradition at Gordon Hall. This year featuring the Christmas Village Collection, a magical display of Milt Campbell’s huge collection of Department 56 villages. This collection was traditionally seen in the windows of Huron Camera in downtown Dexter throughout the holiday season, and was a favorite destination for families. After a visit with Santa (9am to 3pm), children can make a gingerbread house to take home. Presented by the Dexter Area Historical Society. Suggested donation $5/person. Location: Gordon Hall, 8311 Island Lake Rd, Dexter, MI. Free onsite parking. For more information call 734-426-2519
Holiday Bazaar at the Museum – Event Date: December 1 9am - 3pm.
The Dexter Heritage Guild will present its annual Holiday Bazaar from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st at the Dexter Area Museum, 3443 Inverness Street. Visitors will find tables full of a large variety of handcrafted items, everything from holiday ornaments and décor, winter apparel for everyone, decorative centerpieces, the Guild’s signature scrubbies and more!
Santa will be at the museum from 11:00 - 1:00. We encourage you to bring your camera for that special picture with Santa.
The drawing this year will include: a queen size Log Cabin design quilt, a gift certificate to the Encore Theater and to a local restaurant, a 24” ceramic lighted Christmas tree and a multi-nut torte made by Paul Cousins.
Be sure to visit the Museum’s Corner Gift Shop for more unique items and the bake sale’s delicious baked treats and canned goods to be enjoyed by everyone, pets included.
Our bazaar is part of the Dexter Holiday Passport. Have your passport stamped at each of the
bazaars in Dexter on December 1 and qualify for the Gift Basket drawing.

If Teapots Could Talk: A Christmas Tea. Sunday December 2. Seatings at 1pm and 4pm.
Bring your mom or your best friends, or plan to pass the afternoon with a new acquaintance while you sip tea served with finger sandwiches and dessert. The event will feature a talk on Greek Revival Architecture and a self-guided tour of the magical Christmas Village Collection, traditionally seen in the windows of Huron Camera in downtown Dexter throughout the holiday season, and on display at Gordon Hall this year. Presented by the Dexter Area Historical Society. $30 per person (limit 40 per seating). Reservations suggested. Call Ina Germain at 734-395-4106. Visitors will tour the Christmas Village Collection, a magical display of Milt Campbell’s huge collection of Department 56 villages. This collection was traditionally seen in the windows of Huron Camera in downtown Dexter throughout the holiday season, and was a favorite destination for families.
